Job Title: ERP Cut Over Manager
Location: Remote with occasional travel to South East England
Type: Full-Time, Fixed Term Contract (12 months) or day rate considered
Job Description:
We are embarking on a significant ERP implementation and are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ERP Cut Over Manager to ensure a seamless transition from SAP legacy systems to a new Oracle ERP platform for a local government client.
As the ERP Cut Over Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the cut over activities for the ERP implementation. Your primary objective will be to ensure that the transition is smooth, efficient, and minimally disruptive to business operations. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including project managers, IT teams, business units, and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a detailed cut over plan, including schedules, resources, risk management, and contingency planning.
- Coordinate with project managers and IT teams to ensure alignment of cut over activities with the overall ERP implementation timeline.
- Lead cut over rehearsals, ensuring all stakeholders understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Monitor cut over progress, resolving issues promptly to avoid delays and disruptions.
- Communicate effectively with business units to ensure minimal impact on operations during the cut over.
- Document and report on cut over activities, providing status updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Identify and manage cut over risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Facilitate post-cut over review and provide recommendations for future improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an ERP Cut Over Manager or in a similar role within ERP implementations.
- Strong understanding of ERP systems, preferably with experience in [specific ERP software, e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics].
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing challenges.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications are a plus.
